Beit Lehi / Beit Loya: An evening with good people & the long trip home

A SABBATH MEAL WITH GOOD FRIENDS

Having come to the end of our journey, and Sabbath upon us, the Gutfeld family invited us for a Sabbath meal in their temporary shelter.  It was a beautiful meal and a special time with friends.

THE LONG TRIP HOME

Every trip begins with the small thought in the back of my mind, that it will be over soon.  I don't like that thought, and don't want to think it, but this the reality of a journey.  It was soon the day to leave.  We were up early and on the bus to the airport.  I wondered what thoughts Dallin had about his experience.  What had it meant to him?  I had seen him work harder than I'd ever seen him before.  He'd witnessed things most people don't, and fewer consider.  He'd walked the paths and immersed himself in the dust of history.  I was proud of him, and always will be.
